Born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 1, 1979, Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa is of mixed Hawaiian and Caucasian ancestry. The 6’4” actor was discovered by Takeo, an international designer, and he started a modeling career. He is known for his role as Jason Ioane in the popular series Baywatch. He has recently relocated to Australia with his partner Simmone Jade McKinnon to develop his career as an artist.
Ronon Dex is played by Jason Momoa on the Sci-Fi Channel series Stargate Atlantis. Dex is an ally of Team Atlantis who used to be a target of a Wraith hunting ritual.

Until they come in and say, "Ummm, you are supposed to be the bulk of the show!" - then I would go to the gym…It is a good thing I don't have to take my shirt off. I am so excited to wear clothes. I hate taking my shirt off!
