Jason Jones is a Canadian actor and comedian who was born in Hamilton, Ontario. He studied at Hill Park Secondary School, becoming highly involved with their theatre program. Jones would later go on to pursue higher learning at the Ryerson Theatre School in Toronto, Ontario, where he also had a minor degree in botany. He has also received musical conservatory training as a cellist. His father is also a traditional Welsh Cobbler, and Jones often wears many of his designs. He has made numerous appearances in television and film, though he is most well-known for working on
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
As one of the correspondents for The Daily Show, he is featured on segments such as Are You Prepared?!? and Jason Jones 180. He is also married to his fellow Daily Show correspondent Samantha Bee, with the two of them welcoming their daughter Piper into the world in 2006. Jones has acted in other television series such as
Queer as Folk ,
As the World Turns , and Mutant X. He has also had roles in a number of feature films, among them Phil the Alien, Against the Ropes, and Ham and Cheese. One of his favorite hobbies is collecting minerals and fossils.
