Biography

Born on December 30, 1975 in Burnaby, British Columbia, Zahf Paroo is an actor best known for his role on the thriller Antitrust. He was born Zahfeer Abdul Mohammed Hajee, but eventually changed his name to his mother’s maiden name in 2007. He grew up in Vernon, British Columbia before moving to Mount Royal College in Calgary, where he majored in theater and graduated with honors in 1995. Paroo made his film debut in the Disney picture Northern Lights starring Diane Kitton. This was followed by his first large speaking role in television with a guest spot in the first season of the sci fi series Stargate-SG-1 and his first large studio picture with Antitrust, where he starred with Ryan Phillipe. His other credits include the Farrely Brother’s comedy Say it Isn’t So, a reality series Sketch Troop, a one-hour documentary called The Road to Funny, the campy flick A Guy Thing, Scooby Doo 2, and the teenage drama series Edgemont. In 2009, Paroo was cast as flight engineer Ajay Sharma on the ABC space-themed drama Defying Gravity.
