We Are Heroes is one of nine crews that are part of the fourth season of MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew. Based in Los Angeles, the members of this crew come from very diverse backgrounds—from New York to Idaho to Japan—and knew early on that they wanted to dance. Bent on pursuing their Hollywood dream with their so-called “Glam style”—inspired by Fred Astaire and Michael Jackson—they see the show as a chance to do just that, and be the first all-girl crew to do so, to boot.

25-year-old Alison “Ali” Iannucci, born in Beacon, NY, hasn’t been able to hold a job for more than six months.

24-year-old Hiroka “Hiro” McRae, raised in Tokyo, works as a dance instructor, and is the leader of the crew.

26-year-old Mami Kanemitsu, raised in Okayama, Japan, thinks she’s perfect housewive material because she loves to cook and clean.

23-year-old Nichelle Thrower, raised in Oakland, CA, dreams of opening a restaurant.

23-year-old Raquel “Riqdiculous” Olander, raised in Idaho, works as a swim instructor.
