Born Sean Allen Morley on March 6, 1971 in Oakville, Ontario, Val Venis studied at the London School of Economics where he developed his philanthropic skills. When he graduated, he became a motorcycle racer and began training in wrestling in the early 90s under the tutelage of Jason and Dewey Robertson. He debuted in the Canadian independent scene before working with All Japan Pro Wrestling in Japan and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre in Mexico.
In the late 1990s Val Venis became part of WWF and debuted in May 1998's Raw is War, where he defeated Scorpio. By the end of the year, he formed a tag team with the Godfather, and the two were named Supply and Demand. Venis began a feud with Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock, from which he won the title at February's St. Valentine's Day Massacre with the help of Special Guest Referee Billy Gunn. In December, Venis successfully won the European Championship at Armageddon in a Triple Threat match with The British Bulldog and D'Lo Brown.
In 2000, Venis lost the European Championship to Kurt Angle. In 2003, he became part of the World Tag Team Champions with Lance Storm. Venis and Storm later successfully defended the World Tag Team Title from Rob Van Dam and Kane (Glen Jacobs) in a Heat edition.
In 2005, Venis and Viscera (Nelson Frazier, Jr.) teamed up to form V-Squared, who defeated World Tag Team Champions Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch on Raw. They worked as a team for a year and fought Kane and the Big Show again. In March 2006, Venis sustained an elbow injury which forced him to take a leave from wrestling. Upon returning to the ring, Venis began a feud with Eugene on Heat in December 2006.
In February 2007, Venis was granted a video program entitled Sex University on WWE.com, but the program was short-lived. The archives were removed from the site in April for unknown reasons.
