V Factory is an American all male hip hop / R&B group consisting of Asher Book, Nathaniel Flatt, Jared Murillo, Wesley Quinn, and Nick Teti who formed in 2006 and who pride themselves on having “edgy urban pop and electrifying hip-hop dance moves.”
The group began forming in 2006 when a Warner Brothers record executive Tommy Page spotted Murillo as a teen dancer on the High School Musical tour and was impressed with how he seemed to own the stage. Page had the idea of finding four or five other amazing dancing and singing teen males to form a pop group. Page set about finding the rest of the members of V Factory through his connections with vocal coaches and by holding auditions. Once the group was formed, V Factory signed a record deal later that year and released their debut EP for Warner Bros. Records, These Are The Days, in 2008.
The original template for the group, Jared Murillo (born August 6, 1988), has been linked to Ashley Tisdale in rumors that the two are dating. Beyond the High School Musical tour, Murillo appeared in and helped choreograph High School Musical 2.
