From Paris, France comes Ugo, who has traveled to Chicago as a foreign exchange student and later to New York City to pursue his passion for art. He later settled in Venice Beach, California to participate in a number of group shows. His work has appeared at the Happening and Chalk galleries and he has since prepared for his first solo show at the SnP gallery in Echo Park.
Boasting of skills in motion graphics, Ugo decided to branch out from the world of computers to create his own brand of art. He became both an art director and designer, working with several mediums like drawing, painting, photography, and making videos. Hoping to engage himself in the art community even more, he became one of the contestants on Bravo’s reality competition, Work of Art. In the second season, these up-and-coming artists compete for a solo exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum and a cash prize of $100,000. A diverse panel of judges will offer their criticisms of the works, until only one remains as the winner.
