Tre Wilcox is a chef de cuisine who hails from Duncanville and moved to Cedar Hill, Texas. His contemporary global style is a product of his hard work, rising through the ranks to emerge as premiere chef at Abacus, one of Dallas’ finest restaurants. Tre’s motto is “make it nice or make it twice” and considers his spoon as his paintbrush.
Tre became known for going up against fourteen other aspiring chefs in the reality cooking show, Top Chef. After his season 3 stint though, he was asked to return to compete in the All Star edition in 2010. He was eliminated on the eight episode for his dish: Grilled Vegetable Risotto, Marinated Tomatoes and Fresh Basil. Since then, he has been making appearances in numerous food festivals around the country. He even planned on moving from Loft 610 to a restaurant called Marquee, which he plans to open in 2011. He also spends most of his time with his family, particularly his daughters Paige and Alexis.
