With her pretty face and sweet smile, it is no wonder why Traylor Howard was chosen to appear in a Juicy Fruit Gum commercial when she was attending Lake Highland Preparatory High School. What will come as a shock to many is that acting was not really her primary career choice. She took up communications and marketing at Florida State University, and even earned a minor in English. It was only until a former boyfriend, who happened to be an actor, introduced her to the world of acting that she became deeply in love with the craft. She was born on June 14, 1966 in Orlando, Florida and became known for her work on television.
Since she developed her passion, Traylor Howard has been cast in several television shows, one of which was the popular ABC sitcom Two Guys and a Girl, where she co-starred with actor Ryan Reynolds. In 2005, she was added to the cast of USA Network’s hit television series, Monk. Her role as Natalie Teeger earned her fame, as she worked alongside Tony Shalhoub. In 1994, Traylor Howard began her career by making an appearance on Till the End of the Night. Her next role came in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. She later joined the cast of Boston Common, acting on more than 30 episodes of the show. In 1998, she worked on the films Confessions of a Sexist Pig and Dirty Work, before appearing on the film Me, Myself & Irene starring Jim Carrey and Renee Zellweger. She was later seen on The West Wing, The Division and Bram and Alice. In 2005, she got a role in the film Son of the Mask, playing Tonya Avery. She is also known for appearing in the Foo Fighters’ music video for the song “Breakout.”
