Survivor: Vanuatu (Season 9)- 6th voted out
Travis Sampson Biography:
Born on February 19, 1971 in Blountville, Tennessee, Travis “Bubba” Sampson is a former wrestler, who first discovered his passion for the sport when he was young boy. He spent most of his childhood watching wrestling on television with his grandfather, but when he became a student a Sullivan Central High School, he decided to try out for the football team. After his graduation, he enrolled at Northeast Technical Community College, where he stayed for three years before becoming an employee of a local sales plant. While he was working at the sales plant, he resumed his career as a wrestler and eventually became a member of the National Wrestling Alliance, which gave him the opportunity to wrestle for World Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertaiment. The wrestling community came to know him as “Romeo Bliss,” but when he got married, he decided to leave wrestling behind. Sampson then went on to earn a certificate of basic law enforcement in officer education from the Walter State Police Academy. When not working as a loss prevention officer at Wal-mart, he can be seen on the football field, coaching the local boys and girls club in Johnson City.
In the hopes of living an extraordinary life, Sampson decided to try out for Survivor: Vanuatu. He believed that he would emerge as the Sole Survivor because he had already been exposed to different kinds of people and circumstances. Originally, Travis was part of the all-male tribe, Lopevi, but when the tribes were reorganized, Sampson and another male tribe member, Rory
, ended up becoming a part of the tribe Yasur, which dominated by the women. During the 5th tribal council, the girls decided to vote off Sampson because they caught him scheming with the other male contestants from the opposing tribe.
