Torie Halbert became known as a contestant on season 4 of HGTV Design Star. This native of Texas was educated at Lone Star College, where she took up two degrees of interior design. She then worked as a guest speaker for national-brand vendors to the industry and taught fellow designers how to customize homes. On the show, she placed fourth.
