Tom Westman Biography:
Tom Westman was born on January 4, 1964 in Queens, New York. While he was a student at Archbishop Molloy High School, he worked as a peer group counselor and actively played with the track team. He spent three years at the State University of New York studying history, but eventually took after his father and became a fireman for the New York City Fire Department. While serving as the Lieutenant of Ladder Company 108, Westman is busy taking up history for the second time at Queens College. He holds memberships to the Uniformed Fire Officers Association and the Fire Department of New York Emerald Society. He and his wife, Bernadette, have three children, Meghan, Declan, Conor.
Westman’s competitive attitude and strong physical and mental abilities helped him to emerge as the Sole Survivor of Survivor: Palau. Right off the bat, Westman proved to be one of the toughest competitors to beat. From the 39 days that he spent in the game, he was able to win five individual challenges and was the head of the dominant tribe, Koror. Westman was highly respected by his fellow tribe members, which is why the majority of them cast their votes in favor of Westman.
