Tom Everett Scott Biography:
Born and raised in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, Tom Everett Scott grew up like any other normal kid. He loved to take his canoe to the pond near their house. He also took some time to go camping. What set apart the young Everett-Scott from other children in his neighborhood was his talent in acting. Some opportunities came in the form of high school plays, yet surprisingly, he decided to quit acting, believing he needed to take a more serious and practical career path. He studied communications at Syracuse but through an ironic twist of fate found himself falling in love with acting all over again when he stepped into the school theater. From communications, he shifted to drama, and after graduating moved to New York. He rose into fame when he played the incredibly hunky and adorable drummer in That Thing You Do. Now, he has a number of hits under his belt, namely An American Werewolf in Paris, One True Thing and the independent film River Red. Currently, he is the star of the TNT drama, Saved.
Wyatt Cole is played by Tom Everett Scott on Saved. Wyatt is an idealistic and cocky paramedic who leaves medical school, to the chagrin of his father, who is a successful doctor. He is quite unsure of what course his life should take, but he does long to find a real connection. It is through his fellow-paramedics and the people he saves that he starts to feel the connection he has been looking for. Unfortunately, his search for salvation is made harder by his gambling problem.
