Todd Davis appears as a contestant in season two of the HGTV reality series Design Star. A 35-year-old native of San Francisco, California, he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from California Polytechnic, as well as having studied at the San Luis Obispo College of Architecture and Environmental Design. He works as a landscape architect and an artist, and says that his best friend as a designer is his Sharpie fine-point pen. He has also stated that he should win the competition because of his desire to evolve “the leading edge of design style,” while empowering and entertaining people who wish for a monumental home base.
He says that his secret weapon is getting ten hours of sleep, and that his design style boils down to fluidity of natural function. Amongst his favorite styles are mother nature, nouveau, and art deco. He also says that good design enhances a user’s life, while an example of bad design would be having numerous mirrors above a bed. He has said that if he wasn’t working as a designer, he’d be a stuntman instead. His favorite room to design is the bedroom, and his dream design project is the headquarters of Maxim magazine.
