Los Angeles native TJ Wilkins studied at Alexander Hamilton Senior High School. Aspiring to make it big in the music business, TJ has also tried out other pursuits. He likes sports such as volleyball and basketball, but this dreamer is also into cooking. Like most teenagers, TJ enjoys watching movies and playing videogames as well. He has also been a member of the Performing Arts Center of the Los Angeles County, and earned a Spotlight Award for Non Classical Voice in 2008.

Singing “For Once in My Life” during his audition, TJ Wilkins was chosen as one of the 12 finalists for the ABC reality series High School Musical: Get in the Picture. Hosted by actor and musician Nick Lachey, the series follows the efforts of the teenage contestants to win the ultimate prize for a High School Musical fan. The winner will get to star in his or her own music video featured in the end credits of High School Musical 3: Senior Year, and receive a chance to have a recording contract for two singles with Walt Disney Records.

In his blind audition for The Voice, he sang "Bennie and the Jets" by Elton John and joined Usher's Team.

At battle rounds he performed "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" by The Temptations and moved on to the next round.

During the second part of the battles he sang "Get Here" by Elita Adams and advances on.

In the playoffs, he sang "Tell Me Something Good" by Rufus and Chaka Khan and makes it to the Top 12.

At the top 12, he sang "Waiting on the World to Change" by John Mayer and is eliminated.
