Born on May 30, 1958 in Newport Beach, California, Ted McGinley is an American actor best known for his roles on sitcoms. He attended the University of Southern California, where he became captain of the water polo team. He later decided on an acting career, finding his fame on the comedy series Happy Days. His film debut was on Revenge of the Nerds, playing Stanley Gable. From 1991 to 1997, he rose to fame for portraying the character Jefferson D’Arcy on the sitcom Married…with Children. His next prominent role became playing Charley Shanowski on the series Hope & Faith. He has also been seen on other productions like The Love Boat and Dynasty, and has had roles on films such as Pearl Harbor, Major League: Back to the Minors and Wayne’s World 2.
