Tate Stevens joined
The X Factor season 2 where he sang “Anything Goes” by Randy Houser during
his audition. The crowd, especially the judges, loved his country voice and not surprisingly, he made it to
boot camp and eventually to the live shows. He's part of
team L.A. Reid.
In the first
live show Tate Stevens sang "I Thought I was Tough" by Craig Morgan.
Tate
proved himself a "true cowboy" performing with the Top 13, "Wanted Dead or Alive." He was also
announced as America's number 1 as
The X Factor introduced the voter rankings.
During Diva week Tate Stevens sang "From this Moment" by Shania Twain
In a week to be thankful, Tate gave thanks to his dad and
performed Lonestar's "I'm Already There." This was the first week the singer slipped from number 1 to number 2 in the
voter rankings.
Simon Cowell gave Tate advice during the
Top 8 not to dance after performing "Somebody Like You" by Keith Urban.
Tate Stevens performed twice
during the Top 6. He sang "If Tomorrow Never Comes" by Garth Brooks and "Livin' On A Prayer" by Bon Jovi which did not impress the judges.
In the Semifinals the country singer performed twice again. This time
singing "Baby Fall" and "Bonfire.
Making it to the Top 3,
Tate Stevens performed three songs, "Anything Goes," "Pontoon" and "Tomorrow." He won the following night.
