Biography

Tara Reid is an American actress known for her roles in films such as American Pie, My Boss’ Daughter and Alone in the Dark.

She was born in Wyckoff, New Jersey on November 8, 1975.  In 1982, she launched her career at age six in the game show Child’s Play, and eventually appeared in different television commercials, for products such as Crayola, Jell-O and McDonald’s.  She joined the Professional Children’s School, alongside future celebrities like Macaulay Culkin, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Christina Ricci.

Her first film was in the 1987 horror sequel A Return to Salem’s Lot, in a minor role.  She only returned to the big screen in 1998, for the cult hit The Big Lebowski, where she played Bunnie Lebowski.  She also appeared in the 1999 film Cruel Intentions before breaking out in that same year’s blockbuster hit, American Pie.  She would reprise the role in American Pie 2, but not in the third movie, American Wedding.

Tara Reid also appeared in the 2001 comedy Josie and the Pussycats, alongside Rosario Dawson and Leigh Cook.  In 2002, she starred alongside Ryan Reynolds and Daniel Cosgrove in the film National Lampoon’s Van Wilder.  In 2003, she starred alongside Ashton Kutcher and Terence Stamp in the romantic comedy My Boss’ Daughter.  Two years later, she starred in the horror flop Along in the Dark, with Christian Slater.

Tara Reid has also made guest appearances in eleven episodes of the sitcom Scrubs as John Dorian’s (Zach Braff) adventurous girlfriend, Danni Sullivan, in an apparent parody of her party girl reputation.  Perhaps most of her career has been characterized by her trips outside of film shoots, with photographers following her every move, and In Touch Weekly even describing her as a “top party animal.”  Her only award nominations so far have been for Razzies, one of which is for Worst Actress, for Alone in the Dark.
