Steven Waddington Biography:
Born in 1968 in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, actor Steven Waddington gained immense popularity when he graced the silver screen with a supporting role in the hit film, Last of the Mohicans. His earlier performances were on productions of the Royal Shakespeare Company and his other acting credits include Edward II, Carrington, Face, The Hole, Sleepy Hollow, Boudica, Ivanhoe, and The Curse of King Tut’s Tomb, Barbarians, Coriolanus and 900 Oneonta. Currently, he is appearing in the Showtime historical miniseries, The Tudors.
Edward Stafford, Duke of Buckingham is portrayed by Steven Waddington in the miniseries, The Tudors. Edward Stafford is the 3rd Duke of Buckingham and was appointed lord high constable when King Henry the VIII ascended to the throne. Despite his high position and royal descent, The Duke of Buckingham rarely gets the opportunity to share in the King’s power and instead is left to manage a group of alienated nobles.
