Designer Starr Ilzhoefer hails from Charlotte, North Carolina. She was a contestant in the first season reality TV series "Project Runway". Ilzhoefer was eliminated during the third episode, when they were tasked to design a holiday dress for Banana Republic. Since leaving the show, she worked as a corporate attorney. She also volunteers with animal rescue groups and has since put her interest in fashion aside.
