Spencer Duhm is one of 16 castaways aiming to outwit, outplay, and outlast the rest in Survivor: Tocantins.

The 19-year-old is currently a student at the University of Florida, majoring in telecommunications while also taking up business and European studies. A huge sports fan, he is an active member of his school’s rowing team, continuing an interest which he’s been into since he was a kid.

He is also practically a life-long Survivor fan, having been hooked since the first season—which was when he was still in grade school. Now, the gay Lakeland, Florida native believes his competitive and outgoing nature gives him an edge in the game. And, to be able to be part of the show he’s always loved, he’s willing to do anything—except, perhaps, anything that involves snakes.
