Designer Shirin Askari hails from Richardson, Texas. At an early age, she had already begun to sew. She completed her first dress at seven years old, and built her career from there. She became known for being a contestant on Project Runway 6, where she won one challenge and impressed the judges. However, she was eliminated on episode 9. She has since continued to create her own collection of clothing and accessories.
