Born on December 29, 1975 in Frederick, Maryland, Shawn Hatosy is an actor best known for his roles in the horror film The Faculty, in addition to a string of television roles on CSI: The Twilight Zone, Felicity, Six Feet Under, ER, and My Name is Earl, more than others. In 2009, he was cast as Detective Sammy Bryant in the NBC series Southland. The son of a loan officer and a graphic designer, he was a singer in his own band in high school in Linganore. started acting at age 10 in local theatre and on Maryland Public TV. He auditioned for the leading role in the 1999 teen flick Varsity Blues, a role that eventually went to James Van Der Beek. He also made an appearance in the Wheatus music video of A Little Respect and the Justin Timberlake music video of What Goes Around in 2007.
Hatosy’s other credits include Double Jeopardy, Niagara, Niagara, and The Postman in the 90s. He also appeared in guest roles on several shows, such as Numb3rs, My Name is Earl, and Southland.
