Shauna Noland appeared as a top 20 finalist on the third season of the Fox network’s reality television show So You Think You Can Dance. Her nicknames are Shanaynay, Bauna, and Shaniqua. The daughter of a professional ballerina, she entered the world of dancing at the age of three years old. Shauna has received formal training in modern dance, tap dancing, ballet, hip-hop, and jazz at No Limits and the Dance Company of San Francisco. She draws her techniques and dancing style mainly from contemporary dance, and says that her most memorable dance experience so far is making the top 20 on the show.
Aside from dancing, Shauna loves to sing, and she’s said that she wishes to inspire people with her love for the performing arts. She’s also stated that she has performed in numerous public functions as a dancer, and plans to continue honing her talent over the next ten years. While on the show, she danced a Broadway routine, hip-hop, contemporary, and a Mambo number to Tito Puente’s Flauta Y Timbal. As of July 12, 2007, she has been eliminated from the show along with Cedric Gardner.Exclusive interview with Shauna Noland
