Biography

Sharon Leal made her acting debut in the CBS daytime soap Guiding Light, which she was a part of from 1996 to 1999. During the time she joined the Broadway cast of Rent, and later participated in the musical's San Francisco performances. In 1998, she also joined the cast of the television series Legacy.

Leal was part of the cast of the drama series Boston Public, which she joined from 2000. When the series wrapped four years later, she held a recurring role in LAX, and later starred in the films Dreamgirls, This Christmas and Why Did I Get Married? After another recurring stint on ABC's Private Public, she joined the cast of the CW's Hellcats, as cheerleading coach Vanessa Lodge.
