Born Shailene Diann Woodley on November 15, 1991 in Simi Valley, California, Shailene Woodley is primarily known for being a bankable child actress. She started acting at the age of five when an agent spotted her and offered to make her a star. Her first film is set to be released, opposite William Mapother and Treat Williams. In 1999, she landed a role in the TV movie Replacing Dad and the title role in Felicity: An American Girl Adventure, produced by Julia Roberts. While her most well-known role is as the young Kaitlin Cooper in the popular drama The O.C. (a role that was taken over by Willa Holland in the last season of the show), she also had recurring roles on Crossing Jordan, Jack & Bobby. She has also guested on Cold Case, My Name is Earl, CSI: NY, and Close to Home. She also has 20 national commercial campaigns under her belt.
In 2008, Shailene Woodley was cast as to play the lead role of Amy Juergens on the ABC series The Secret Life of the American Teenager, which has been her biggest gig thus far.
