Fashion model Selita Ebanks was born on February 15, 1983 in George Town, Cayman Islands. Her family moved to the United States and settled in Staten Island, New York. There, she pursued her education by attending Spelman College, Columbia University, and New York University. It was at the theme park Six Flags Great Adventure that a modeling agent spotted her. She was 17 at the time, and was immediately signed to Elite Model Management. This gave her the opportunity to work with illustrious fashion campaigns like those of Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Levi's and Ambercrombie & Fitch.
Soon, Selita Ebanks modeled for Victoria's Secret and was signed as one of their Angels. She debuted in their 2005 fashion show, staying with them until 2009. Aside from modeling, she has also had a chance to act. She was seen in How I Met Your Mother and in the music video Make Up Bag, by The-Dream. She has also been seen in the 2010 short film Runaway, which was directed by Kanye West. Also that year, she participated on the NBC reality competition The Celebrity Apprentice. She was fired in the fifth week of the show.
