Born in Washington D.C., actor Scott Krinsky is a Los Angeles-based actor, stand-up comedian, and writer. A member of the critically acclaimed comedic theater group called The Bad Puppets, Krinsky regularly performs at The Comedy Store and Improv in Los Angeles. He attended Salisbury State University where he majored in communications and broadcast journalism. He spent his internship at Cable News Network (CNN), where he also worked briefly. He also attended The Epicurean School of Culinary Arts in Los Angeles, trying to pursue something else other than his original craft.
As for his primary field, Scott Krinsky is best known for his recurring role as Jeff on the action-comedy series Chuck that chronicles the life of “an average computer-whiz-next-door who unintentionally receives the only remaining copy of the world’s greatest spy secrets into his brain. Other than Chuck, Scott Krinsky also appeared on other television series, such as The O.C. (Daryl, from 2006 to 2007) and Without a Trace in 2005. His other screen credits include Shamelove in 2006, Drain Baby in 2006, The Dry Spell in 2005, and America’s Most Wanted in 1995. Moreover, he worked as production assistant on 1993’s Brain Smasher… A Love Story.
Krinsky’s other interests include food. In fact, after attending culinary school, he has become confident about his skills. “I can make a damm good cake and some other treats.” His other hobbies include blading at the beach, reading at the beach, and swimming, adding that he swam competitively as a child, winning gold medals up to the state level. “Might have had a shot at the Olympics if I worked at it more but I was too lazy to devote everyday of my life to get up every morning at 5:30 am for practice.”
