Born in Los Angeles, Sara Paxton is singer-actress best known for her role in the feature film Aquamarine, starring alongside Emma Roberts, and most recently was seen in the remake of the 1970s horror classic The Last House on the Left. She’s an only child and is distantly related to actor Bill Paxton. Her father, Steve, is of Irish, Scottish and English descent while her mother, Lucia, was born in Monterrey, Mexico and raised in Ciudad Acuña.
She started acting at the age of 6, appearing in an impressive list of commercials, television series. Her first film role was a small part in the 1997 Jim Carrey comedy, Liar Liar. Shortly after, she appeared on the soap opera Passions, and landed regular roles on the series Greetings from Tucson and Action, and a guest starring role on the Disney Channel show, Lizzie McGuire starring Hilary Duff playing an ex-president of Lizzie's school.
In 2002, Paxton became a series regular on The WB coming-of-age sitcom Greetings from Tucson, and in 2004 joined the cast of The WB series Summerland. Paxton's other television credits include Malcolm in the Middle, Will & Grace, CSI and CSI: Miami.
In 2009, she was cast as "it" girl Raina Marinelli in The CW's new drama The Beautiful Life, an inside look at the glamorous and sexy life of high fashion models in New York City.
