Sam Jaeger grew up in Perrysburg, Ohio where he was very active in the theater department during his high school years. He once did an award-winning one act play in which he portrayed a young man with AIDS. His television debut was a role on the series
Law & Order . He continued to appear on The West Wing, That's Life,
ER ,
Scrubs ,
CSI and NYPD Blue. Jaeger also appeared on TV movies Double Platinum and The Riverman. His big screen appearances include those on Behind Enemy Lines, Hart's War, Blood Work, Sexual Life and Catch and Release.
Matt Dowd is played by Sam Jaeger in the ABC series Eli Stone. In 2009, he was cast on the NBC remake of the 90s series Parenthood.
