Canadian actress Ruth Marshall graduated with a degree in English from McGill University before she officially pursued a career in show business. She first appeared in the 1993 movie Love & Human Remains and then gradually acquired more guest roles on Wild C.A.T.S: Covert Action Teams and F/X: The Series. In 2001, she got landed her breakthrough role as Donna Dewitt on the TV series Doc, which she became part of until 2004. Subsequently, she was cast on Friends and Heroes as Eza, as Dr. Amanda Luria on Flashpoint and as Helen Edwards on Degrassi: The Next Generation.
