Robert Verdi is an American fashion and interior designer and style expert born on August 28, 1968 in Maplewood, New Jersey. He developed his taste for finer things in life by observing the works of his mother, who is a Portuguese dressmaker and enjoying the culinary masterpieces of his father, who is a French chef. Robert Verdi began designing and making jewelry when he was a teenager. He first sold his jewelry in the streets of Manhattan and later to New York high end department stores like Barney’s, Bloomingdales, Bendel’s and Bergdorf. Robert Verdi earned his degree from New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology.
In 2000, Verdi co-created and co-hosted Full Frontal Fashion, which is the first television program to air complete coverage of runway fashion shows. In 2002, he began co-hosting Surprise by Design with Rebecca Cole. In the show, Verdi or Cole would redesign a room at someone’s home in order to surprise a loved one. Verdi also hosts Fashion Police on the Style Network. He is also a frequent guest on numerous talk and news programs including The View, Regis & Kelly, The Today Show and VH1’s The Fabulous Life Of. Verdi is also the stylist of A-list personalities like Eva Longoria, Hugh Jackman, and Mariska Hargitay.
Robert Verdi is one of the judges of She’s Got the Look, a reality series on TV Land which gives a second chance of super modeling career to beautiful women of 35 and above. The contestants are tested based on their performance on their weekly photo shoots and their knowledge in the fashion world.
