He also served the NYPD before being recruited by the FBI. He graduated from the FBI Academy and then became FBI Special Agent for the Criminal Investigations Division. He was ordered to join the manhunt for Mulder but was unsuccessful, leaving him to work with Special Agent Dana Scully, whom he did not fully trust. Dogett is a no-nonsense agent who does not believe in paranormal, applying the down-to-earth sensibilities he learned as a Marine and a cop. He serves as the "skeptic" in the show. Quotes

-I am enjoying playing humans a little bit more now.

-I've been acting for 16 years. I've done 55 movies and, in all seriousness, there's maybe five that are good and the rest are crap.

- I think 90% of acting is makeup and wardrobe. The other 10% is what I do here in my office, bouncing off the walls.

- You can't think about how people will perceive you or your character. All you can do is focus on your work. The rest is up to the universe.
