Born January 5, 1968 in San Francisco, California, Ricky Paull Goldin is the son of Professor Paul Goldin, the founder of Paul Goldin Clinics. He was educated at London University, and made his television debut at the tender age of three. His love of acting began with the children’s series Romper Room, and was encouraged by his actress mother, PJ Goldin, to pursue his dreams.
Ricky Paull Goldin is best known for portraying FBI Agent Gus Aitoro on the CBS soap opera, Guiding Light. His portrayal earned him an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in 2003. Together with his co-star Beth Ehlers, the couple won the Emmy award for Viewer's Favorite Award for Most Irresistible Combination in 2005. Goldin's other television appearances include those in Another World and The Young and the Restless . After appearing in Another World in 1993, he moved on to the Broadway stage, starring as Danny Zuko in Grease. His other stage performances include Broadway production On Golden Pond and off-Broadway productions The Pirates of Penzance, Welcome To My Life, The Nest of the Wood Grouse and Feathered Serpent.
Goldin has also starred in the short-lived ABC sitcom, Hail to the Chief. He was only 20 years old at the time he played the son of the first female President of the United States, portrayed by Patty Duke. In 1993, Goldin hosted the dating show Street Match, which aired on ABC but was soon canceled. He later worked alongside Yasmine Bleeth on two made-for-TV movies. These were The Face and Talk to Me, both in 1996. Goldin’s film roles include Lambada, Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, Pastime and Mirror Mirror. He has made numerous guest appearances as well, such as those in St. Elsewhere, MacGyver, 21 Jump Street, Baywatch and Pacific Blue. In 2008, he announced that he would be leaving Guiding Light, to take over the role of Jake Martin on All My Children.
