Rick Broider is an actor / entrepreneur who hails from New Hampshire. Rick's screen appeal comes from his extremely diverse background, which ranges from adolescent homelessness to entrepreneurial success. Prior to acting, Rick was a military weapons specialist, a mechanic, a professional Mixed Martial Arts cage fighter, a personal trainer, a state law enforcement officer, a motivational speaker and a recognized executive professional in the software industry.
Rick, a father of six boys, began his acting career when he and his wife Melody were featured on ABC's Wife Swap in December 2006. Rick was also a contestant on the NBC reality series America’s Toughest Jobs. Created by Thom Beers, who was behind shows such as Deadliest Catch and Ice Road Truckers, the competition pits 13 people against each other in tasks pertaining to some of the most demanding jobs in America—physically and mentally. Tasks range from catching crabs in the Bering Sea, to working in an oil rig in Texas, to logging in the forests of Oregon. The winner of each challenge will win the annual salary of the job being performed, as judged by their new boss and co-workers.
