Stanford graduate Poppy Carlig has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology and Master’s in Sociology. Because of the economic reaction, she found it difficult to secure a job. Aside from a brief stint for breast cancer research, she worked as a caretaker for her grandmother. She's also a competitive synchronized swimmer who made the Olympic training squad and won 4 NCAA championship titles in college.
In 2010, Poppy Carlig was chosen as a contestant in the NBC reality competition The Apprentice. She was the youngest to join that season, but was fired in the ninth week despite earning rewards along the way. Since leaving the show, she applied for several dental programmes to pursue a career.
