Peter Paige is an openly gay American actor and playwright born on June 20, 1969 in West Hartford, Connecticut. He attended Boston University's School of Theater Arts on a full scholarship, graduating summa cum laude and moving on to an active career in various stage productions. Among these are The Rivals, A Midsummer Night's Dream, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and his own self-produced two-man show Pantophobia alongside Abraham Higginbotham. Emmett Honeycutt is played by Peter Paige in Showtime's comedy drama series Queer As Folk. Known for his flamboyant fashion sense and his wry comments, he has number of jobs throughout the series, ranging from running a catering business, working in a clothes store, becoming an online porn star, and doing segments for a news station. He becomes involved with Ted Schmidt, though they later break up due to Ted's drug addiction issues. He then becomes involved with other men, such as a football player and a wealthy old man who leaves a vast sum in Emmett's name.
