Born Paul Friedman on July 24, 1962 in Brooklyn, New York, Paul Ben-Victor is best known for his roles in popular television series Entourage, Monk, and CSI. With a playwright mother, Victor graduated from Carnegie Mellon University. Victor debut on the small screen with a made-for-TV movie called Blood Vows: The Story of a Mafia Wife and an episode of Cagney and Lacey. He has co-written stage plays with his mother and at least two have been staged in Manhattan. These were Club Soda and The Good Steno.
Almost fifteen years after his debut, he was cast in important roles for HBO's The Wire and Entourage. He has also appeared on My Name is Earl and the 2000 made-for-TV film The Three Stooges. Most of his roles have been minor, like those in movies such as, The Rookie, True Romance, Maximum Risk, and, Push. He also had recurring roles in NYPD Blue and a starring role in Invisible Man. His portrayal of the title character enabled him to work alongside Vincent Ventresca. The two then starred together on the hit show Las Vegas, and once again on In Plain Sight.
In 2008, Victor joined the cast of the USA Network series In Plain Sight. Victor’s role is that of Stan McQueen, chief inspector for Federal Witness Protection Program's Southwest regional division. Technically, he is Mary's superior, but he looks at her with paternal fondness despite Mary's tendency to challenge his authority. He's a constant worrier yet he is widely held in high regard. During that year, the actor became involved in numerous projects. He was seen on Joe Mover, Player 5150, Ten: Thirty One, and signed on for a part in Venus & Vegas.
Another appearance credited to Paul Ben-Victor is a television commercial for McDonald’s during the mid-1990s and one for Lotus Notes in 1998.
