Nicollette Sheridan as
Edie Britt Born on November 21, 1963 in Worthing, West Sussex, England, Nicolette Sheridan was raised by her mother, British actress Sally Sheridan and her mother’s deceased former boyfriend, actor Telly Savalas, in London and Los Angeles.
In 1984, Sheridan made her television debut in the short-lived series, Paper Dolls, and two years later was cast in the role of Paige Matheson on the popular primetime soap, Knots Landing. Initially, hers was a recurring character, but after she proved to be a hit among the shows’ followers, Sheridan was made a regular cast member during the tenth season. The role earned her a 1990 Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Lead Actress: Prime Time and a 1991 Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Heroine: Prime Time.
Following Knots Landing’s final season in 1993, Sheridan went on to appear in numerous productions television productions, including A Time To Heal, Shadows of Desire, Silver Strand, Virus, Indictment: The McMartin Trial, The People Next Door, Murder in My Mind and Dead Husbands. Sheridan also reunited with the Knots Landing cast in the 1997 miniseries, Knots Landing: Back to the Cul-de-Sac.
Sheridan also has some big screen projects under her belt, having worked on such films as The Sure Thing, Noises Off (where she acted alongside Carol Burnett and Michael Caine), Spy Hard, Beverly Hills Ninja (where she starred opposite late comedian Chris Farley), I Woke Up Early the Day I Died, Raw Nerve, .com for Murder, Lost Treasure and Code Name: The Cleaner.
In 2004, her popularity rose again with her portrayal of Edie Britt on the hit television series, Desperate Housewives. The role earned her a 2005 Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress, and the following year ranked 48th in Maxim magazine’s Hot 100 List.
Sheridan is presently engaged to singer Michael Bolton. Prior to her renewed relationship and engagement to Bolton, Sheridan had been romantically involved with Swedish actor Nicklas Soderblom and was married to actor Harry Hamlin for two years. She experienced her first real relationship at the tender age of 15, when she dated and lived with then teen idol Leif Garrett.
