Russian fashion designer Nicolas Putvinski became known for being a contestant on Project Runway 6. His passion for designing was sparked at an early age. When he was 15 years old, he made a pleather tube top dress for his sister. He then moved to California and was educated at the Fashion Institute of Technology. He also got his training at Izquierdo Studio in New York. He had lots of success early on in his career, when his dresses were commissioned by magazines like Vogue and W. On the show, he won one challenge but was eliminated on episode 10. Since leaving, he has worked on more collections to showcase his talent.
