During the blind auditions, David sang
"Stand by Me" by Ben E. King. Cee Lo Green was the only judge to push the button for him.
He won his battle round
singing "She's Gone" by Hall and Oates against Todd Kessler and then won his knockout round
singing "Put Your Records On" by Corinne Bailey Rae against Mycle Wastman.
During the playoff round, he
sang "You're the First, the Last, My Everything" by Barry White. He was one of the top 2 vote-getters from Team Cee Lo and he moves on as one of the top 12.
He
performed "The Power of Love" by Huey Lewis and the News for his Top 12 performance and was voted through to the next round.
David then
sang "Lean on Me" by Bill Withers for his Top 8 performance and was once again voted to the next round.
For the next round, David performed
"What's Going On" by Marvin Gaye, which gave him his first top 10 hit on iTunes.
Nicholas David made it to the
Top 6 and performed "September" by Earth, Wind and Fire which was Cee Lo's choice and for his own pick he performed "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" from The Wizard of Oz.
At the
semifinals Nicholas David performed "You Are So Beautiful" by Joe Cocker and advanced to the Top 3.
Some of Nicholas David's
final performances include "Great Balls of Fire" by Jerry Lee Lewis and "Fire" by Jimi Hendrix. He also performed "Lean on Me" by Bill Withers and alongside Cee Lo Green performed "Play That Funky Music" by Wild Cherry.
Nicholas David was annouced in 3rd place during the finale of
The Voice season 3
