American actress Molly Stanton was born on March 13, 1980 in Los Angeles, California. She attended the University of California, Berkeley for part of her freshman year. Her passion for theater was evident during her junior year in high school, when she joined the Brentwood Theater Company. She wrote, directed and starred in a true story about nine high school boys who went on a camping trip. Four of them were killed by a drunk driver. The play received even greater success when the troupe took it to the Edinburgh Theater Festival in Scotland during one summer.
Molly Stanton is best known for her role on the soap opera Passions. She played the character Charity Standish from the program’s debut in 1999 until 2004. The role was then taken over by Kristina Sisco in 2006 to 2007. Stanton also played Charity Standish’s doppelganger, Zombie Charity. She was also known for portraying Charity’s ancestor Prudence Standish in flashbacks. While working on Passions, she landed a role in an episode of 10-8: Officers on Duty, a short-lived police drama starring Danny Nucci and Ernie Hudson. Stanton was next seen on the series CSI: Miami, playing Tiffany in a 2004 episode. After Passions, she accepted a role on the WB’s series Twins, which stars Sara Gilbert and Melanie Griffith. It premiered on September 2005 and Stanton played Farrah until the show’s cancellation in May 2006. In 2005, she made an appearance as herself in two episodes of SoapTalk. Stanton then moved on to a minor role in Notes from the Underbelly and soon landed a part in the FOX network’s Do Not Disturb. She plays the character Nicole in the comedy, which revolves around the events in a hotel seen through the eyes of its employees. Stanton has also been cast in the 2008 comedy by Zach Cregger and Trevor Moore, titled Playboys.
