American actress Molly Price was born on December 15, 1966 in North Plainfield, New Jersey. A graduate of Rutgers University, she began her television career in 1991, with the first of her four guest appearances (to date) on the police drama Law & Order. She had occasional roles in films both for theater and television, until she earned her first regular role, in the short-lived sitcom Bless This House, in 1995.
Price’s second, and perhaps more memorable, regular television role was in the drama series Third Watch. She joined the show’s cast in 1999 as Faith Yokas, a police officer who joined the NYPD as an opportunity to leave her husband Fred (Chris Bauer). Her character’s run on the show was marked by developments at work—her working relationship with Maurice Boscorelli (Jason Wiles) being the most significant—and her tumultuous marriage with her husband. Throughout the show’s run, from 1999 to 2005, she appeared in several films—Sweet and Lowdown, Pushing Tin, Random Hearts, Just Visiting—as well as other television programs. She also had the chance to act opposite her real-life husband, FDNY firefighter Derek Price (who was a recurring guest star); due to this, she also had a chance to speak about her experiences in the show’s retrospective episode on the September 11 attacks.
Her next regular television role came in 2007, when she joined the cast of the remake of Bionic Woman. She played the role of Ruth Treadwell, a member of the Berkut Group and second-in-command to Jonas Bledsoe (Miguel Ferrer), who also oversees operations undertaken by Jamie Sommers (Michelle Ryan). The show received generally negative reviews and, also due to low ratings, was cancelled after a shortened first season. During the time, she also had a recurring role in the drama series Without a Trace.
