Thirty-year-old
Michelle Aguilar Camaya comes from San Diego, California. This Filipina started dancing at an early age of 8. Since then, much of her time was spent in the dance studio. Over the years, she studied various genres including Philippine folk dance, ballet, jazz, modern, ballroom, hula, hip-hop, Lindy Hop, and theatrical.
She currently appears in Disney's The Lion King on Broadway. She was also part of the 1997 animated adventure film Enchanted, where she was one of the featured dancers. Likewise, Michelle was seen as a spring festival dancer in the movie Memoirs of a Geisha.
Michelle is one of the contestants on Bravos' reality series
Step It Up and Dance , where twelve dancers compete against each other in a series of tests including auditions for music videos and Las Vegas stage shows. At the end of the show, the winner will receive a $100,000 grand prize. Michelle hopes to take advantage of the opportunity and show her wide range of skills. In addition to that, she wants to use this chance to pay homage to all her dance teachers and fellow performers.
