Ming-Na was born on November 20, 1963 in Coloane, Macau. She moved to the United States with her mother and attended Carnegie Mellon University where she earned her drama degree. She was popularly known for her inclusion in the series ER
as Dr. Jing-Mei "Deb" Chen. Previously, she starred in The Joy Luck Club, As the World Turns and Inconceivable. In 2006, she landed the role of Agent Lin Mei on the TV series Vanished. She later moved on to appear on Two and a Half Men as recurring character Linda Harris. She continued to be visible in the small screen thanks to notable roles in SGU Stargate Universe and Eureka. In 2013, she became part of the cast of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Linda May.
