Biography

Actress Mimi Rogers was born Miriam Sprickler on January 27, 1956 in Coral Gables, Florida. Rogers, who is famous for her voluptuous body, starred in several films that involved nude scenes, like Full Body Massage and Door in the Floor. She is the first wife of actor Tom Cruise, and Rogers was the one who introduced him into the church of Scientology. Her versatile choice of roles led to her critically acclaimed performance in The Rapture in 1991. The avid environmentalist is also a competitive poker player, even becoming part of the board of directors for the World Poker Tour.

Mimi Rogers broke into the entertainment industry when she starred alongside Tom Berenger in 1987’s Someone to Watch Over Me. Her career leaned towards independent films even more, as she chose to play Dr. Susan Hadley in Dark Horse. She has also appeared in sci-fi films, like Lost in Space and the cult series The X Files. In 1997, she became known for her role in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. There, she worked with Mike Myers, Elizabeth Hurley, Robert Wagner and Michael York. She soon accepted a role opposite Geena Davis in The Geena Davis Show, and played a rich Manhattan socialite in Cruel Intentions 2. She also became famous for doing a nude layout and interview for Playboy magazine. Rogers’s career branched out into television during the 2000s. She had a lead role in Charms for the Easy Life and Cave In. In 2006, she played the flirtatious Meryl in the series The Loop. That year, she was also in the horror Penny Dreadful and soon got a recurring role in My Boys. Rogers was later cast in the romantic comedy Falling Up in 2008, starring Rachel Leigh Cook, Snoop Dogg, Joseph Cross, and Sarah Roemer. She can also be seen in Big Nothing, Dancing in Twilight and episodes of Las Vegas and Dawson’s Creek.
