After completing a double major in performance and pre-med at the University of Central Oklahoma, Milena Govich moved to New York and landed her first Broadway role as Lulu in the musical Cabaret. After her stint in Cabaret, she performed in the 2002 musical revival of The Boys from Syracuse, as well as in the musical Good Vibrations.
In 2004, Govich participated in the short drama Bad Behavior, written and directed by Marta Alicia Masferrer. She appeared on the pilot episode of Love Monkey in 2006, while working on another short, a comedy titled In Love. She gained attention for her recurring role as the prostitute and con-artist Candy on the series Rescue Me, starring Denis Leary. She also played the part of Jessica Rossi on the NBC legal drama Conviction, although the series was short-lived. In 2005, Govich joined the cast of Dick Wolf’s Law & Order during the premiere of its 17th season. She played Detective Nina Cassady for two years.
