Mike Henry is best known as a writer, producer and voice actor of the animated series Family Guy. He met its creator, Seth MacFarlane, when both studied at the Rhode Island School of Design. The two kept touch after graduation, and later reunited when the latter came up with the concept of Family Guy.
Henry joined the show in 1999 as a writer, as well as a voice actor: he voiced the gentle-spoken Cleveland Brown, among others. He was credited as a guest star for the first four seasons, but was later promoted to a regular. In 2009, his character was given a spin-off series: The Cleveland Show became a ratings success.
