Irish actress Michelle Fairley has made a name for herself in the British television circuit thanks to her roles on The Bill, Holby City and Heartbeat. She made her debut in 1988 in the movie Hidden City, followed by Hidden Agenda and Precious Blood. Nearly a decade later, she was cast in the recurring role of Eleanor Delaney on Safe and Sound. In 1997, she played Gabby Rodwell on The Broker's Man and was featured in the mini-series The History of Tom Jones, a Foundling.
Fairley also tapped onto more mainstream movies such as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, playing Mrs. Granger. At present, she is featured as one of the cast members of the HBO series Game of Thrones as Catelyn Stark.
