Michael Raymond-James got his start on stage, training at the Lee Strasberg Theater in New York. He made his debut in the 2000 film Minor Blues but was best known for his stint in the 2006 film Black Snake Moan. He also held a recurring role in HBO's True Blood before joining FX's short-lived Terriers.
